3Qi Design Inc. is a full service interior design and decorating firm based out of Airdrie, AB. Our accomplished team of designers are passionate about functional design and delivering beautiful spaces. Our list of services range from design and decorating consultations to furniture shopping, and complete interior design drawing packages. We are very proud of our work and believe we deliver the best value for interior design services.

What does 3Qi mean?

We feel that energy is what brings a space or project to life and Chi or Qi (pronounced key) was the best way to describe that energy. The 3 in our name represents our three core values: Creativity, Quality, and Trust.

Kathryn Collins

PRINCIPAL

Hey! I'm Kathryn, Principal at 3Qi Design.

My life long passion for interior design and entrepreneurship is inevitably what lead me to start my business.

My educational background began by taking business at MRU in Calgary.
At that time I thought interior design was "too fun" to be a real job (now I would argue otherwise LOL). When I realized I was too creative to spend my days in a cubicle I packed my bags and moved to London, ON to study interior design.

Straight out of design school I had the opportunity of a life time to work with a developer. This is where I was thrown into trenches and got a ton of experience with large scale commercial projects as well as residential neighborhoods.

The most gratifying part of my work is getting to know my clients and creating spaces that are a true reflection of them or their business.

Some of my favourite designers are Kelly Wearstler, Studio McGee, Joanna Gaines.

In the Community

We love giving back to our community and feel a great sense of duty to contribute where we can. Some ways that we give back are through sponsorship and donation of time. FEATURED PROJECT

INN FROM THE COLD - JOURNEY HOUSE 2

Journey House 2 is a supportive housing building designed to transition families from homelessness to independence. With a resource center in the building and peer support programs each family is set up for success.

We were tasked with selecting budget friendly materials, fixtures, finishes, and furniture for the building.

Working on the Journey House 2 project was a deeply rewarding experience and shelters continue to be one of our top causes.
